| Description |
The service is a ' Virtual Team' offering training and support to other professionals involved with Young People with substance misuse issues.
It aims to support others so that they have the confidence and the knowledge to deal with young people themselves and to have greater confidence about when to refer them on to other agencies.
It is not an open referral agency but will get involved with individual young people if the need arises.
They occasionally work with Schools, Sixth Forms colleges and parents, and offer one-off sessions to staff and educational sessions with students.
The service can offer medication based intervention through the adult service DASH and would like to develop their own service, possibly having a GP to enable them to offer a specific treatment service for young people. |
