Part of the Connexions Black Country Partnership. There is a team of 10 Connexions Personal Advisors in the Wolverhampton area, all trained in drug awareness, drugs misuse during pregnancy and in associated skills needed when working with young people.
The team has a PA based at Base 25, the Wolverhampton Young Peoples Service as well as a PA working with the Youth Offending Team alongside a specialist drugs worker, and one working with the Triangle Project (Youth Organisation and Schools project).
The Black Country Connexions website has drug and alcohol information alongside other lifestyle advice. Black Country Connexions also has a double decker bus that is jointly used with the voluntary sector. The bus is equipped with computers and internet access and a number of other facilities to assist in engaging young people in the community. |
