Method of Access: Although the Family Support service is accessed through a parent attending Aquarius, young people can also contact Aquarius for information and support or they may be gain access through their school should Aquarius run an alcohol awareness session. Referrals have also been made through the Arrest Referral Scheme for 17+ year olds.

| Description |
The service works with individual drinkers and their families who have been identified by the Community Alcohol Team as requiring additional support.
Work is undertaken with the whole family and not on an individual basis with young people. The Family Service offers an opportunity for family and friends as a whole group to talk through concerns, explore what each individual can do to help manage their own stress, as well as having time together to talk about how they can deal with matters in the future. |
