| | Description | | S.P.A.C.E ((Substance Prevention Acceptance Confidentiality Education) is a Virtual team - comprising a Manager/clinical lead (yet to be appointed + 3 substance misuse workers from YOS, 2 Connexions SM workers + Drug Education workers in Alcohol and Drug fields. Needle exchange and treatment including home detox is supported by the CAMHS team. Residential rehabilitation is outsourced to centres in Oxford, Bristol or Birmingham, it's estimated that 6 - 12 places are required every year. Young People have access to doctors, CPN's and Social workers, secure support and housing accommodation which are attached to the CAMHS service. Connexions substance misuse workers and the health worker within the YOS are all supported by one of the three local CAMHS teams. As SPACE has only recently been launched, protocols and policies are still being worked on.
